MaxWrite is a shareware color word processor. It's
shareware cost is $30 and we would appreciate all of our users to
register. It took us along time to do this and we would appreciate
some kick back– after all we have to eat some good food, dog food
doesn't taste good after a month. The price of registration is
going to go up when we get all of the major bugs worked out. It
requires at least System 4.1 to run.
This version of MaxWrite prints in color. It also will
save. If you hold down <option> , <command>, and click the mouse
you will be given a hand to move the text around with. If you hold
down any modifier key while you press <RETURN> to pick a color you
will be able to name the color. Some bugs have been fixed so that
it will not crash it certain cases. A routine has been added to
save the text files if a system error has occurred; I thought that
this may be helpful.
Some of the known bugs are: crashes when printing to an
AppleTalk ImageWriter that is already in use, crashes when trying to
print on the LaserWriter, when scrolling selected text it sometimes
crashes (this is a bug of Apple's, not ours), sometimes the text
size changes to 65535 pixels. Scrolling sometimes gets majorly
screwed! There is a problem with changing styles; try it and you'll
find it; I wish we could take credit for this bug, but I think it
more Apple's problem than our. You cannot save MaxWrite format
files more than once–sorry about that–so don't try it.
Enjoy experimenting with MaxWrite and send us any comments
you may have. Leave us mail on GEnie to KIENE. We would appreciate
any registrations too! We cannot work on MaxWrite without
registered users!
Sincerely,
Rod Magnuson and Steve Kiene
