Meat Gone Bad II v1.0.6 by Purple Hippo Software READ-ME Thank you for using Meat Gone Bad II, a ferociously fiendish food fracas for the Macintosh! Brought to you by Purple Hippo Software, this game features lovely 256 color graphics, 30 frames-per-second animation, and wonderful sounds, as well as great gameplay! Story The meat is back. After fighting off the first attack of living meat, which came to life after sitting on the counter for hours as you chatted with Great Aunt Ethel, the phone rings again. You wearily pick up the receiver. "Hello?" your voice cracks. It is none other than Great Aunt Betty! As you haven't talked to Betty for months, you decide to spend the next few hours catching up with her. You laugh, you cry, and you become even closer to the Aunt you love so much. Don't you evern learn? The meat, already warm, grows new strains of controlling bacteria which quickly take over the meat and begin to attack you! You turn around and see: Steaks! Meatballs! Fish! Porkchops! ...and even more disgusting chunks of flesh! Luckily, this time you grab you SUPER-DUPER-ULTRA bottle! When you run into a mysterious QUESTION MARK with this bad-boy, you improve by either: ...changing to a relish bottle (stronger!) or, ...changing to a ketchup bottle (faster!) or, ...gaining small mustard allies! Gameplay Gameplay is simple. To move the bottle, move the mouse. To fire a shot, click the mouse. To gain power-ups, collect the QUESTION MARKs by running into them with your bottle. BE CAREFUL! If you shoot them, a shower of rotten meat will fall on you! There are three kinds of power-ups: If you get a MUSCLE coin, your bottle will turn into a RELISH BOTTLE and fire RELISH SHOTS, which are stronger than their mustard counterparts. If you get a RABBIT coin, your bottle will turn into a KETCHUP BOTTLE and fire KETCHUP SHOTS, which are much faster than the mustard shots. If you get a MINI MUSTARD BOTTLE coin, a small mustard bottle will appear at your side and fire additional mustard shots. You CANNOT use more than one power-up at a time, i.e. you are EITHER strong OR fast, not -1- BOTH. However, if you get a second MINI MUSTARD BOTTLE coin, another bottle will join you at your other side! After every handful of levels you get to play a BONUS ROUND. Shoot all the hotdogs, but watch out! Once their hit, they fall like rocks, and if you're hit, the round is over! System Requirements Meat Gone Bad II works on any 68040 or PowerPC machine. It runs only in 256 colors. If you receive a message asking you to give Meat Gone Bad II more memory, try switching to 256 colors first. Meat Gone Bad II should work fine on 4 megs of RAM, but giving a little extra never hurts. If you experience any technical problems while using this software, contact Purple Hippo Software. Shareware Meat Gone Bad II is distributed as shareware. If you like it and continue to use it beyond a period of 30 days, please pay for it!…
