QUICK START CARD

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
• Macintosh with 256 color, 13-inch monitor or greater
• At least 4 MB of RAM with 2.5 MB available
• System 6.0.7 or later
• Macintosh-compatible CD-ROM drive with 150 KB/sec speed or faster
INSTALLATION
1. Start your CD-ROM drive and Macintosh.
2. Put the Oceans Below disc in your CD-ROM drive. A folder automatically
opens entitled, Oceans Below, and three icons appear.
3. If you do not already have QuickTime™l.6 or higher, drag the QuickTime
icon into the System Folder. (You may be asked if you wish to place
QuickTime in your Extensions folder—click Yes.) If you have an older
version of QuickTime, discard it before restarting.
4. Restart your Macintosh so that QuickTime is loaded into memory before
running the program.
STARTING UP
1. Double-click the Oceans Below icon to begin the program. A screen with
important information about the program appears. After you read it, click
the mouse to continue.
2. The opening screens of the program play, then the Introduction and Begin
Program commands 唧 ear in the sand on the title screen.
3. To get a brief description of the Oceans Below program, click Introduction.
To go directly to the beginning of Oceans Below, click Begin Program. You
will get a quick explanation of the functions of the icons.
4. To plunge into Oceans Below, click one of the icons in the sand at the bottom
of screen.

Hint: Before you begin a dive, click Dive Info to learn more about the sport of
SCUBA. On the Dive Info screen, click any piece of equipment to find out
about it, or click the book to learn details about the diving environment.
WORLD MA~
Whenever you choose the World Map icon, a schematic map appears.
You can click a bubble to go to a specific dive area. Click the World Map icon
from any screen to return to the schematic map and choose another area.
REGIONAL MAPS
A regional map appears for some areas, so you can select a specific
site to explore. From those sites you can choose either the World
Map or Regional Map icon to go to another dive site.
From the World Map, you can click Site Attractions to view a list of
attractions and their locations.
TAKING A DIVE
You can explore dive areas in depth by clicking these icons:
