Panorama Install

Panorama 3 MegaDemo™ (August 3, 1996) Welcome to the Panorama 3 MegaDemo™! The MegaDemo contains over 70 pages of information with everything you need to know about Panorama 3, along with over 40 live demos of key Panorama 3 features. We think you’ll find that the MegaDemo is a lot of fun. It works a lot like the World Wide Web, with pages linked together with underlined text. Just click on any underlined item to see the page for that item. We’ve also built in a neat order form that can let you e-mail your order direct to ProVUE (see below). Requirements The Panorama 3 MegaDemo™ can be installed on any Macintosh with System 6 or later. The MegaDemo™ requires about 2.8 megabytes of space on your hard disk, and runs in a 2.5 megabyte memory partition. If you have an earlier version of Panorama the MegaDemo will not interfere with it (you can keep both on the same system). Installation To install the MegaDemo simply double click on the MegaDemo™ Installer icon. Choose the hard disk you want to install the MegaDemo on, then let the installer do it’s thing. The installer adds one folder to your hard drive, called Panorama MegaDemo™. This folder contains 45 files. Nothing else on your system is touched or modified. Operation To try out the MegaDemo, open the Panorama MegaDemo™ folder and double click on the Panorama 3 MegaDemo™ icon. If you are familiar with the World Wide Web, you’ll be right at home with the Panorama 3 MegaDemo™ and its hypertext navigation system. The bulk of the MegaDemo consists of a series of pages. Each page covers a separate topic. Throughout each page you’ll see underlined topics in the text, for example Client/Server or Word Processing. Simply click once on the underlined text to jump to the page that discusses that topic. Any text that is underlined (anywhere on any page) is a hypertext link to another page or a live demo. You can also use the menus to go directly to any page or any live demo, or to open the order form and price list. Printing You can print out all of the information in the MegaDemo, including the fact sheets and the price list. To print an individual page choose Print from the File menu. To print all of the fact sheets use the Print All command. This will print about 64 pages, which you can read at your leisure. To print the price list (which also contains detailed product information) first open the price list then use the Print command. Ordering The MegaDemo™ Order Form allows you to order ProVUE products from the comfort of your own home or office. Once the order form is complete you can transmit it to ProVUE electronically via e-mail or diskette, or use more traditional mail, fax, or telephone ordering. To open the electronic order form click on the clipboard icon, or choose Order Form from the Orders menu. If you choose to e-mail your order it will go directly into ProVUE’s order database.
