MacOS version 8.6 is recommended. A cellular phone or other device that has a serial interface and supports the following AT-standard commands: +CSCS,+CPBS, +CPBR and +CPBW, and is capable of utilizing the default GSM charset. In other words just about all cellular phones that have built-in modems, or other phones with well equipped data-cards.
