UPDATE YOUR MAC OS X TO THE LASTEST VERSION
USING SOFTWARE UPDATE
USER NOTES:
The Wireless Setup v3_0t.mpkg package will install all components necessary for your
wireless card to function under Mac OS X v10.2 or greater. For additional 10 minute
evaluation periods you will need to reboot each time.
Wireless Setup v3_0t.mpkg installs a trial version of the OrangeWare 802.11g wireless
Ethernet driver that allows for an evaluation period of 10 minutes once you have
configured the card for operation.
Once installed, you may configure the OrangeWare 802.11g wireless Ethernet driver for
your card. To do so, proceed to the Mac OS X System Preferences application and
select the "Wireless Configuration" panel. You will need to open this panel and click the
"Apply Now" button each time you reboot your Macintosh to activate further evaluation
periods.
After your 10 minute evaluation period has expired, you will be presented with the
opportunity to buy this software. A successful purchase will immediately activate the
OrangeWare 802.11g wireless Ethernet driver for unlimited use on THIS COMPUTER
ONLY. Activation also allows you to have full use of your network card from the
moment you boot up your Macintosh, and eliminates the need to click Apply Now on the
Wireless Configuration panel each time you boot.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
- Log into Mac OS X
- Double click on the downloaded Wireless Setup v3_0t.mpkg to install the driver
- When prompted, login as administrator.
- Follow the installation instructions.

your wireless network card up and running properly.
1. Insert your wireless Ethernet card and open the System Preferences application and
select the Wireless Configuration panel.
2. The Wireless Configuration panel should now be displayed. The Wireless
Configuration panel allows you to configure various settings for your wireless
Ethernet card. You have the ability to create a profile for each access point you wish
to connect to, allowing you to quickly select between different wireless networks.
You can configure your card for use with either infrastructure or ad-hoc networks,
and select between different security options.
IMPORTANT NOTE! - If your wireless Ethernet card is inserted in your
Macintosh's CardBus or PCI slot and you see a message in this window stating
"No card inserted or no compatible card found", it is likely the card you are using
is not Atheros based, and possibly not supported.
3. The User Profiles tab allows you to create a profile for a specific access point
configuration.
4. The Network Settings tab allows you to select between infrastructure or ad-hoc
network types. If you choose to create an ad-hoc network, you can select the
