Mac-on-Mac http://maconmac.bastix.net/doc.html Documentation Installation of Mac-on-Mac Setup an Mac OS X VM Setup an Mac OS Classic VM Setup an Linux VM Setup an OpenDarwin / GNU- Darwin VM Deleting a VM Installation of Mac-on-Mac Just download Mac-on-Mac and drag the Icon out of the DMG right into your Apllication folder. Note: Mac-on-Mac will not run in the DMG. Setup an Mac OS X VM At first we have to create an empty disk image to install Mac OS X on it. Due to the fact there is currently no such function implementet in MoM we have to use the Disk Utility found in your Application/Utilitys folder. (alpha limitation) Create a new disk image with several GB of size and remember where you put it. 1 of 5 05-09-26 20.44 Mac-on-Mac http://maconmac.bastix.net/doc.html If you are done with that make sure X11 is Not running. (alpha limitation) Start Mac-on-Mac! As soon MoM has loaded you will see the MoM window with 4 empty VM's. Click on "Configure" to configure one. Now start configuring your VM by choosing Name, OS, RAM size, disk image, etc.. Note that you have to add an additional installation image (eg the *.iso of your Mac OS X CD) and set the boot flag the first time. Note that you only can check one boot flag depending on which image you want to boot! Note that booting from CD/DVD drive might not work (alpha limitation) Don't forget to click on "Enable VM" otherwise your configuration is lost. 2 of 5 05-09-26 20.44 Mac-on-Mac http://maconmac.bastix.net/doc.html You will notice that your VM appeared in the VM list with OS icon and name. You can boot it by just clicking on "Boot" ;) X11 is loading now, you can quit xterm if it appears. You will be asked for your admin password. This is necessary for loading a kernel module. 3 of 5 05-09-26 20.44 Mac-on-Mac http://mac…
