1. What's New in Internet Explorer 5.2
1.1 Quartz Text Smoothing
If the latest version of Mac OS X is installed on your computer, Internet Explorer can now take advantage of the Quartz
drawing engine to smooth the edges of text. Quartz text smoothing makes text on your screen easier to read, but has no effect
on printed documents.
To turn on or off Quartz text smoothing, do the following:
1. On the Explorer menu, click Preferences.
2. Select the Interface Extras preference panel from the list on the left.
3. Select or clear the Enable Quartz text smoothing check box.
1.2 Improved Security and Reliability
Internet Explorer 5.2 contains all security and reliability enhancements which were first made available in versions 5.1.1
through 5.1.4. Details of security related changes can be found in the following security bulletin: MS02-019.
