Pursuant to the demands of this market, Free Soft developed ArtLine, a vectorization software. In 1997, as the market was veering towards large format digital printing, we developed Free Print, our RIP, which has been postscript since 1998. What is Silhouette? Silhouette is a software for the vectorization of colour and black and white images, comprising specific tools for the retouching of vectorized images like: • straighten up a logo that was poorly oriented in the scanner • sharpen rounded or truncated corners • delete useless points • convert flat curves into straight lines • align segments of straight lines on the same axis • smooth curves • simplify curves while keeping their appearance Silhouette is a complete tool that includes all the indispensable features for editing vectorial images like: • Create/edit Bézier curves • Rotate, enlarge, apply a symmetry, … • Distort in an envelope, perspective, incline • Align / distribute paths • Create / edit paths, circles, rectangles, ... • Select paths by colour • Edit colours • Export the document in formats compatible with Illustrator and DXF • Print on desktop printer Silhouette 1 What are the advantages of Silhouette?
