OEM software bundel, OS 8.0

PPCMLA Software 1 post Sep 22, 2007
Recently discovered while closet cleaning

I have 4 of the OEM software bundels containing OS 8.0 (White CD). These were OEM for the PowerMac 6500. Included software is the restore Cd, Grolier Multimedia Encyclopedia, Mechwarrior 2, Adobie photo Deluxe Ver 1.0, Kidpix Studio by Broderbund. 6 CD's total.

The OS 8.0 CD is not machine spicific as I have used the OS 8.0 Cd from one of the bundels to install OS 8 on several different machines including a couple of older powerbooks. (1400c and a 3400 and I believe a 540c using an external SCSI Cd-rom drive)

These are new Cds in the package.. $14.50 for each package and this includes shipping
and yes I will ship out of the country if you are willing to pay shipping. I will do my best to keep out of country shipping costs down.
Let me know......... I do paypal......

May ther Mac be with you
What adapter do I need to buy to hook my Mac up to my PC via the serial(localtalk) port? I recently discovered  that the port is a none-standard min-din 9. (and not the older mini-din)

I'd suggest looking up the pin out for the min-din 9 and min-din 8 and find out if that other pin is important, if not, just ignore it.

Do most old Macs use Min-Din 8? What is the port called(LocalTalk?)

A Mac to ImageWriter Printer cable should work. If not add a Null modem connector to the cable.

The Mac Printer cable comes in many flavors:

Old Mac DB 9 to DB 25,

Old Mac DB 9 to PC DB 9,

Old Mac DB 9 to Din 8,

Din 8 to DB 25,

Din 8 to DB 9,

and Din 8 to Din 8.

You need to see which one you will need.

No reason to think otherwise
