Sorry I couldn't get back to you sooner, yeah I manage the Moire X project, I don't do the actual programming but I do oversee the contributors and make sure that the project seems to be going in the right direction. It has been quite a challenge to find a developer who not only knows Cocoa but still remembers and loves Moire and is willing to contribute to the project not for the money but for the love of the screensaver. Luckily after more then 3 years of searching I found Cathy Shive who has done what I feel is a outstanding job contributing to the Moire X project. Thanks to her dedication to the project, I feel that Moire finally has become a real reality for users of Mac OS X. Of course although the screen saver works in all mac conditions existing here, there likely still are bugs yet to be found and it is for that reason that I welcome all feedback so that the screen saver can be improved and bugs squashed. I've also decided to make Moire X opensource for a number of reasons: 1) So that the source code does not end up getting lost as is the case for the original Moire's source code 2) With the source code people can make their own versions of the Moire screen saver easily or implement its unique animation in other situations 3) It is my hope that eventually the source code will aid in the porting of Moire X over to other platforms such as Linux and Windows.
