Yeah, for sure the multiple users thing was a pretty nice feature. I remember how excited I was using the Windows 98 multiple users bootscreen on my 486DX2 66MHz. 
I think there is actually quite a bit more software that will run on 8.6 than 8.1... and isn't 8.6 PPC native anyway, whereas 8.1 has code for 68k processors as well?
