There is 3 things that is keeping me from having a 100% working tiger install. other than that tiger runs like a dream on my Beige G3 AIO.

the 3 things are extensions that xpostfacto installs

here are the 3 extensions

GossamerDeviceTreeUpdater

OpenPMUNVRAMController

PatchedAppleNVRAM

i can also list the errors each list if needed. there has to be a way to fix them to work like they should.

i know one of them is effecting the way the OS uses the Pioneer drive i have, sometimes it will work and sometimes it dont. it wont burn anything in tiger, you cant copy anything from it to any other drive.

but this drive works 100% in Mac OS 9 with intech speedtools 6.0 and the modded PioneerCDR authoring extension to get burn support.

this drive also works 100% in Jag 10.2 - 10.2.8 and gains burn support with patchburn.

but one of the 3 extensions listed above is keeping me from using this drive reliably in tiger.

i have tried to get ahold of Ryan R but it seems like he has lost interest in improving xpostfacto at all.

but these minor problems are not really hampering the daily use i put on the system in tiger. its only a annoyance having to boot into OS 9 to burn media or to copy things from a disk to the HDD or to sometimes play dvd movies. i know its not a drive problem.
