PowerBook Duo Power Supply Compatibility
I just acquired 30 PowerBook Duo series machines, but only have 1 Duo Power supply. I know a lot of the power supplies should interchange, but I wanted to confirm that the yo-yo M7332 45 watt units will work on the Duo series. I already have a lot of NOS yo-yo adapters.
I know that the ones for the 1400, and Wallstreet G3 - Pismo G3 will run a Duo and those Yoyo ones used on the old iBook Clamshells will work on those machines, so they should work on the Duos. Thing it, the Duo Power requirement is a lot lower than the Yoyo PSU can put out so keep an eye out for over heating or other problems and be ready to yank the plug in an emergency.
The Duo will only draw as much as it needs from the PS, unless there is something deeply broken in their power circuitry.
