The files enclosed are ARA scripts for the new Zoom 28.8kbs modem. (I think the Magic modems are made by Zoom Telephonics as well and should be compatible).
The Zoom VFX V.Fast script attempts to link at 28.8 bps and should automatically fall back to the fastest speed possible depending on the line quality. I have found that it is not possible to reliably use 28.8 bps on my phone system, so I have included several other scripts that will force a connection at the baud rate specified. (24000 baud seems to work the best for me).
All the scripts use 38,400 baud to communicate with the modem and error correction/data compression are turned off. --------------------
