About
SwitchRes is an extension that allows you to control the resolutions of all your displays. A Control Panel is joined, which lets you change its preferences, a Control Strip Module, a Location Manager Module and a Contextual Menu extension are bundled. You can change all your resolutions with just one mouse click on the Finder desktop, or just by pressing one key.
What is new in version 2.1: ----------------------------
* SwitchRes dynamically gets the monitor type after your Mac has been put into sleep mode. * SwitchRes allows PowerBook G3 Series display (1st Generation) to use 800x600 mode, and to keep it after sleeping/waking up * SwitchRes can now display the refresh rate of all resolutions. If the System doesn't know it, SwitchRes will try to learn it when you'll use the concerned resolution. * All SwitchRes icons now use 32 bits colors. * The Contextual Menu can now show the resolutions of only the display you clicked on. * Display Names can contain the display number
and corrects these bugs, among others:
* The main display is correctly restored after restart. * Some preferences that couldn't be kept after a restart are now correctly restored. * The Control Strip won't be shown when an application is launched, if it is hidden before * The attached script is kept when you copy a Display Set in the Control Panel * The freeze when clicking in the Control Strip Module or in the Menu Bar is gone...
