Drop Drawers provides floating drawers on the sides of monitors to store text, URLs, aliases, scripts, pictures, sounds, movies and anything else. Information in drawers can be viewed, edited, inserted and launched by clicking or pressing a user-defined key. Items in drawers can also be dragged or copied to and from any other running applications. According to O'Reilly's Mac OS X Hacks, Drop Drawers is "one of those applications you have to try to believe." Version 1.6.3 for Mac OS X fixes aesthetic issues with OS X 10.3, adds text editing in Japanese and other multibyte languages and has improved consistency checks to prevent crashes due to corrupt data.
