Sam `Serious` Stone, worlds bravest hero, was sent back in time to change the past and save humankind from total annihilation. Using the ancient artifact, called the "Time-lock", left on Earth by a long-forgotten race, Sam was teleported back in time into the land of Egypt. There he discovered traces of Sirian civilization and found out about their spaceship, hidden somewhere inside the Solar system. Notorious Mental, the immortal evil, gathered some of the nastiest creatures in universe to stop Sam. Thousands of beasts stood on Sam's way, together with giant Ugh-Zan III, vicious warlock and one of the toughest Mental's servants. But standing in Sam's way is not a smart thing to do. After many serious battles Sam defeted Mentals army. Finally, in front of The Great Pyramid, he encountered mighty Ugh-Zan III, and won this glorious battle. From the pyramid, Sam teleported himself onto the Sirian spaceship. And now, Serious Sam goes to Sirius. Or, maybe not? file:///F|/Install/Locales/eng/Help/Manual/introduction.html4/26/2005 2:31:27 PM Serious Sam:The Second Encounter Manual - Getting Started System Requirements Minimum System Requirements: AMD K6-3 400MHz, Pentium II or Celeron-A 300MHz 64MB full OpenGL or DirectX 8 compliant 3D accelerator 100% Windows compatible sound card Windows 95 OSR2, Windows 98, Windows 98SE, Windows ME, Windows NT 4.0 (with Service Pack 5), Windows 2000 or WindowsXP 150MB free hard disk space Recommended System Requirements: AMD Athlon 650MHz or Pentium III 650MHz range processor 128MB RAM Third generation full OpenGL or DirectX 8 compliant 3D accelerator with 32MB RAM Creative Labs SoundBlaster Live 450MB free hard disk space For Full Experience: AMD Thunderbird 1Ghz or Pentium III 1GHz range processor 256MB RAM Fourth generation full OpenGL or DirectX 8 compliant 3D accelerator with 64MB RAM Installing The Game ● Quit all other applications and insert the Serious Sam: The Second Encounte…

Set your up Macintosh SE/30 This is a quick guide to setting up your Macintosh® SE/30 computer. Even if you have never used a Macintosh before, all you need to do is follow these instructions. More detailed instructions for the setup procedure appear in Chapter 1, “Getting Started,” in the Macintosh SE/30 Owner's Guide. It is not necessary to refer to the manual unless you want a more thorough explanation of any step listed here. You'll also find important safety information in the owner's guide. Connecting the power cord 1. Plug the socket end of the power cord into the power input unit. Power input unit On/off switch 2. Plug the other end of the power cord into a three-hole grounded outlet. Connecting the keyboard and mouse 1. Plug one end of the keyboard cable (both ends are the same) into the port on the right side of the keyboard. 2. Plug the other end of the keyboard cable into either one of the two small ports on the back of the Macintosh SE/30. 3. Plug the mouse cable into the other small port on the back of the Macintosh SE/30. You may prefer to connect the mouse to the keyboard, using the second port on the keyboard. It’s up to you. Here are two possibilities: Turning it on 1. Press the on/off switch on the back of the Macintosh SE/30. On/off switch A beep lets you know the computer has started. A yellow plastic packing disk will eject automatically from the 3.5-inch disk drive. 2. In a few moments an icon with a question mark appears on your screen. “* By the way: If you see something other than the question mark icon on your screen, someone may have already prepared the internal hard disk for you. Turn off the Macintosh SE/30 and continue. In the following section you will learn basic Macintosh skills so you can finish setting up your Macintosh SE/30. Learnbasic | Macintoshskills If you have not used a mouse, pull-down menus, or other Macintosh features before, take time to learn about your computer. You'll be using one of the disks contained in the Setup Guide packet, Your Apple Tour of the Macintosh SE/30. (If you have used a Macintosh computer before, skip ahead to the next section, “Prepare Your Hard Disk.”) It’s not necessary to complete the entire tour to acquire the skills you need to finish setting up your computer. At the beginning you'll learn how to use the mouse. Then you'll see the Main Menu. Plan to complete the first two sections on the Main Menu: = “Howto Use This Tour” = “Finding Your Way Around” These sections will take 15 to 20 minutes to complete. Before you start, read all the instructions here to get a clear idea of what you'll be doing. 1. Insert the disk Your Apple Tour of the Macintosh SE/30 into the di…
