When you want to switch to a favorite application, or open a frequently visited website, press a hot-key and a radial menu will appear under your mouse, making those favorite things immediately available. If this is the first time you’ve used Trampoline, then you should read this first. http://www.old-jewel.com/trampoline/support System Requirements: Trampoline requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later to run. It should work on any Macintosh that will support Mac OS X 10.4, and works natively on Macintoshes that use both PowerPC and Intel processors. However, it may run a little slower on computers with slower graphics cards. http://www.old-jewel.com/trampoline/support Installing Trampoline: To install Trampoline: • Double-click the disk image named "Trampoline.dmg" to have it appear on the desktop. • In the window that appears in the Finder, drag the icon labeled "Trampoline" to your Applications folder (or anywhere else you’d like. • Double-click the "Trampoline" icon to launch Trampoline for the first time. Trans Lucy 1.0.1 Thank you for using Trans Lucy. Trans Lucy is a radical new way to watch DVDs on your computer. Unlike other computer DVD players, Trans Lucy lets you float the video display above your other applications. Trans Lucy goes one step further by allowing you make the video display translucent so you can still see and work with your documents that are "behind-the-scenes." A Note About Video Translucency Trans Lucy can only display video translucently on computers with video cards that support Quartz Extreme. Quartz Extreme is an advanced graphics system that is used in many parts of Mac OS X. Visit Apple Computer's web site at www.apple.com for more information regarding Quartz Extreme. To easily test if your computer supports Quartz Extreme move your mouse cursor over a white area on screen. If the mouse cursor has a shadow then your computer supports Quartz Extreme. Note that if you have more than one video card/monitor then you should look at the mouse cursor on each monitor since Quartz Extreme may only be available on some of your video cards/monitors. Trans Lucy Controller The Controller is the main interface for Trans Lucy. The Controller is used for such things as playing/pausing movies, adjusting properties of playback and display, and sound volume. Much of the interface in the Controller is similar to a home DVD player, but some is unique to Trans Lucy. The section will describe the Controller interface. Title The Title button jumps to the current title's menu. If a title has already been viewed, clicking Title will continue playback at the last location viewed. Location/Time Display The Location/Time display shows the current location on the disc being viewed and the current time of that location. The term location means either the current title on the disc or the current chapter within a title on the disc. Clicking the word "title" or "chapter" switches between Title and Chapter mode. If "title" is clicked the text changes to "chapter" and vice versa. Clicking on the numeric portion of this display toggles between elapsed time and remaining time. While in Title mode time elapsed/remaining for the current title is displayed. While in Chapter mode time elapsed/remaining for the current chapter of the current title is displayed. Jog Shuttle The Jog Shuttle is used to quickly advance or rewind the viewing location. When not pressed the Jog Shuttle always points up. Clicking and holding at different locations on the Jog Shuttle performs different actions. Clicking on the right side of the Jog Shuttle will continuously advance the video display at different rates. Clicking near the top of the Jog Shuttle on the right side playback advances in a slow fast forward mode. While continuing to hold the mouse down, but drag lower on the Jog Shuttle the video will advance at a faster rate. The rate can be adjusted by dragging to different places on the Jog Shuttle. Clicking on the left side of the Jog Shuttle will beha…

Welcome to Trans Lucy Trans Lucy will rock your dreary work world. Yes, it will. Sure, you can listen to the radio or your songs on your computer while you work… but what about watching DVDs or television? Watching a video while you work can be hard because it is visual. You either need to be looking at your documents or watching the video. To see both you have to keep switching back and forth. Lame. With Trans Lucy you can see both at the same time. Using your own optic neural sensors (eyes) for signal acquisition, Trans Lucy overlays a visual signal (a window) directly onto the ocular sensory terrain in front of you (your computer screen). From there the signal is beamed directly into the optic center of your brain. Seriously. Optic neural beaming what? To phrase the above another way, Trans Lucy is a video player application, but with a clearly different way of watching videos. Trans Lucy shows your videos in a window that floats above all other windows, but even better is that Trans Lucy lets you change the opacity of the video display so you can still see your documents behind the video. However, the best part is that when Trans Lucy’s video display is translucent you can still work with your documents behind the display. This is because Trans Lucy lets you click through the video display. You can keep right on working even when the video display is over your documents. See, that really does rock your dreary work world. Trans Lucy System Requirements Trans Lucy’s minimum system requirements are the following: Mac OS X 10.4 Some features require Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. 1.0 GHz or greater Intel or PowerPC CPU Quartz Extreme capable display. Video In feature requires video devices that work with the Mac OS X video digitizer system. Some features require internet connection. Some features require suitable graphics hardware. At least one eye is recommended. Trans Lucy 2 User Guide 1 Installing Trans Lucy This is easy. 1. Insert/open the Trans Lucy CD/disk image. 2. Drag-and-drop the Trans Lucy icon to your Applications folder (or wherever you want). 3. Eject/unmount the Trans Lucy CD/disk image. Other Items Trans Lucy Makes When you first run Trans Lucy it will make a few other files and folders: Trans Lucy Preference File <your home folder>/Library/Preferences/com.translucy.plist Trans Lucy Library Folder <your home folder>/Library/Application Support/Trans Lucy/ What’s New in Version 2.1? In Trans Lucy 2.1 we have added several new features. First of all, we added Grayscale Display. Grayscale Display changes the video or the background behind the video to black and white. This can help keep the video visually separated from what you are working on so it is easier for you to work or to play. Note Grayscale Display requires Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard or newer and suitable graphics hardware. Ano…

Transference 1.0.2 - © 2007 Matt Mower - Introduction Transference is a utility to help you copy & move files (and folders) quickly and precisely. Unlike Finder, which uses multiple windows and dragging, Transference is based around a 2-pane metaphor. In the left pane you specify the files to be transferred, in the right pane you specify the destination, then you trigger the transfer. Simple! No more dropping things on the wrong folder, or having the folder window disappear, or spring open in the wrong place, or any of the myriad other ways Finder can trip you up. The Browser Window Transference is based around the concepts of a source-pane (the left pane) and a destination-pane (the right pane) with files flowing from left to right, source to destination. The source and destination are highlighted in the status area at the bottom of the window. These panes can be resized by dragging the divider between them. Every file and folder in the source pane has a checkbox next to it. Transference will only copy or move files that have been checked. In Finder it can be difficult to select multiple files accurately so that you either have to try and maintain a tricky multiple-selection or do many smaller drag operations. Transference makes this easy, you go down the source list checking off the things you want to transfer and then trigger the transfer at the end. The destination pane displays only folders that can be the target of files from the source pane. This makes it easier to pick out the right folder. Navigating the Filesystem There are several ways to navigate to the folders you want to work with to reflect the different styles and experience of Mac users. Each pane has a field with the current path displayed in it with a button (marked ...) to it's right. You can either type in a path or click the button to get a default MacOS X brower dialog. When typing paths into the field you can use the F5 or Escape keys to have Transference auto-complete the path for you. Transference will not allow you to enter an invalid path. You can also drop down a list of previous paths for that browser by clicking the drop-down button immediately to the right of the field. In both browsers you can double-click any folder to drill-down into the contents of that folder. At the bottom of the window Transference indicates where files will be transferred from and to. By default the destination is the folder specified in the destination field however you can quickly specify one of the sub-folders by clicking it. This makes it easy to transfer files between a source and a set of sibling folders. There are also toolbar buttons (and menu items) for selecting the home, root, parent, and previous folders for the currently selected browser. Selecting and Transferring Specifying files to be transferred is done by putting a checkmark next to them. You can check a single file or any combination of files. In either table of files you can multiple-select rows and then use …
