Web Devil Detailed Instructions 1) Web Devil Documents 2) Download Preferences 3) Application Preferences 4) Using Bookmarks Web Devil FAQ _______________________________________________ What is Web Devil? Web Devil is a tool for downloading web pages and their associated images, textures, and links quickly and easily. Give it a URL and it will download all the items on that web page. It has an easy to use interface, is scriptable and recordable, and is fully multi-threaded so it won't hog the CPU. What isn't Web Devil? Web Devil is not a complete web site management tool. It was mainly designed to make it easy to grab textures and images off of web pages and to make local copies of your web sites for easy maintenance. It doesn't download secure (encrypted) pages and it may not work through some firewalls. Web Devil does not modify the files it downloads. Because of this, offline browsing will not work with sites that use absolute URL's. What does Web Devil require to run? Web Devil should run on any Power Macintosh running Mac OS 8.9 or later with access to the Internet. Web Devil is 100% compatible with all versions of Mac OS 8. How do I use Web Devil? Using Web Devil is simple: Simply create a new Web Devil window (if one isn't already on the screen) by selecting New Web Devil from the file menu and then type in the web page you'd like to suck. Once you've typed it in, just click "Suck Web Page" and that's it. Web Devil will download the page, scan it for any links, and download them. It's that simple. If you don't want certain files to be downloaded (eg. you don't want images), simply uncheck one or more of the options within the Web Devil window. Balloon Help is supported so turn it on while you're running the application for more help. How do I pay for Web Devil? See the document included with Web Devil titled "How Do I Pay?" Can I distribute Web Devil? Yes, please do! You may distribute this application anyway you want as long as you include the full package and do not charge for it. Reasonable media and distribution costs excluded. I want as many people to get this as possible. What did you use to create Web Devil? Web Devil was written in C++ using CodeWarrior and PowerPlant. Resources were created and edited with Constructor and Resorcerer. What other stuff has Chaotic Software produced? BioAssistant • A tool for PCR ch…

WebFree http://www.falken.net/webfree/ Copyright ©1996-1997 by Steven Falkenburg. All Rights Reserved. WebFree is a tool that works with existing web browsers to let you, the individual, take control over what you see when you visit web sites. Were you annoyed when your favorite site added huge advertisements? Do you use web browsers in a educational setting where you don’t want kids subjected to advertisements for beer, or worse? Are you surfing the web over a slow modem link, falling asleep before a page loads all of its flashy graphics? Are you concerned with your privacy when browsing the web? If so, WebFree might be for you. WebFree allows you to be the editor for the web sites you visit. You can use it to screen out advertisements, unwanted images or links, and web cookies. The goal of WebFree is to make your web surfing more productive. WebFree is a single Control Panel that works with your existing Internet connection and browser software. It works over direct Internet connections, as well as over modem and ISDN PPP links. Both MacTCP and Open Transport are supported, and WebFree is designed to work with all major Macintosh web browsers, including Netscape, Internet Explorer, Cyberdog, and the AOL web browser. Finally, WebFree is ShareWare. If you like it, you can register via Kagi Software by visiting http://www.falken.net/webfree/,or by using the Register application included with the WebFree package. I didn’t cripple the unregistered version, and you don’t need to enter any complicated serial numbers to register. WebFree has the following pricing. Single user licenses, $20 per user A Site License costs $200 (roughly equal to 10 users) and covers all locations for your organization within a 160 kilometer radius of your site (100 miles). One big advantage of a Site License is that you do not need to keep track of how many people at your site are using the software. K-12 institutions receive a special pricing. $15 per user licensing, or $100 for a single district site license. Paying for WebFree is fairly simple. Open the Register program that accompanies the WebFree package. Enter your name, your email address, and the number of single user licenses you desire (or Site licenses). Save or Copy or Print the data from the Register program and send the data and payment to Kagi. More specifics on the Register program to follow. Kagi handles my payment processing. If paying with Credit Card or First Virtual, you can email or fax the data to Kagi. Their email address is sales@kagi.com and their fax number is +1 510 652-6589. You can either Copy the data from Register and paste into the body of an email message or you can Save the data to a file and you can attach that file to an email message. There is no need to compress the data file, it's already pretty small. If you have a fax modem, just Print the data to the Kagi fax -1- number. Payments sent via email are processed within 3 to 4 d…

.. WebObjects 5 license Keys In order to install and use your copy ofWebObjects, you will need to enter an appropriate license key during the installation process. We provide you with two distinct keys: • Deployment: install a version of the deployment runtimes supporting unlimited transactions per minute • Developer: install the developer tools, plus a version of the deployment runtimes (for development purposes only) that limits load-sharing and the rate of transactions. You need to use a unique key for each copy of WebObjects you install. Thus, you can use the Developer key to install the developer tools on Mac OS X or Windows 2000, and use the Deployment key to install the deployment software on a separate machine. You may even use both keys on a single machine (using the WebObjectsLicenseUpgrader), if you're using the same machine for both development and deployment. i SOFTWARE SERIAL NUMBER REQUIRED to install your Apple software i SOFTWARE SERIAL NUMBER REQUIRED to install your Apple software l You have two identical software serial number peel-off labels.
