Your level of technology is crucial. Higher levels of technology allow your ships to move faster, and give them an advantage in combat over ships with lower tech levels. Your star systems also defend themselves from attack- ing ships based on their level of technology. All tech development takes place in your star systems. Just a few extra notes in addition to the Help in the program (it's in the About Menu...): I've included Maps of the game Legend of Kyrandia™ (the CD-ROM version. What a fun game!) and Maps of the shareware game Prince of Destruction™ (v1.0.7 - Also very enjoyable!) that I made as I played to give you an idea of one way to use the program. It could be used as a walk-thru, although I was using Game Atlas© to help me play the game. Maps for the game part of Bungie's awesome game, Marathon2, are also available. I've also included a Custom Palette Template that could be used as a starting point for divising your own Custom Palettes. It's similar to the default one that's built into the application. Abuse it as you wish. Known bugs: 12/29/95Autoscrolling while dragging an outline inside and outside a window sometimes results in cosmetic aftershadows. No information is compromised, it's simply ugly. I know Icon interpretation is a bit like art, different people see different things in the same work of art, so here's a quickie on what the icons I used represent (to me! To play Garcia's Guitars, just use your mouse. Wiggle Jerry around some, get the hang of it, but keep away from Pigs! They'll chase Jerry all over the place. They can't really bust him though, because . . . first of all, they got nothin' on him and . . . secondly, he's friggin' dead, man! You can't put a ghost in jail, jeeze. All they can do is make him wait while they run downtown to do the paperwork. It gets rid of a Pig, but it takes up Jerry's valuable time. He's gotta stand there and wait for the wheels of justice to do their thing before he can resume moovin' and a groovin'. He goes like this when he's free - "Excellent!" Now, being chased around a parking lot by the Fuzz is no fun at all and certainly not a productive way to spend an afternoon. So get Jerry to hug guitars. When he hugs a guitar, it disappears and is sent to Rock n' roll heaven, where people like Jimi and Janice are Jammin'. Hugging guitars gives Jerry extra Kharma points. Kharma points are good. uh-huh. Neither Jerry or I are makin' any big-bucks at this gig, but that's cool. You can't live on bread alone, man. So there's Brain Candy floating around sometimes.
