RagTime 3 Privat installieren Bevor Sie mit RagTime 3 Privat arbeiten können, müssen Sie das Programm auf eine Festplatte installieren. Legen Sie die CD ein und öffnen Sie den Ordner „RagTime 3 Privat Installation“. Starten Sie das Programm „Rag-“ mit einem Doppelklick auf das Programmsymbol. Das RagTime 3.2 Installationsprogramm wird gestartet. Einfache Installation Wir empfehlen diese Installation. Sie installiert die vollständige Software, Scannertreiber, Importfilter, das deutsche Wörterbuch sowie alle Beispieldateien. Klicken Sie „Installieren“, um die einfache Installation zu starten. Installation anpassen Wenn Sie nicht alle Dateien installieren wollen, klicken Sie „Anpassen“. Daraufhin werden alle verfügbaren Optionen für die Installation von RagTime 3 gezeigt. Klicken Sie nach Auswahl der gewünschten Optionen „Installieren“, um die Installation zu starten. -1- Wo soll RagTime 3 Privat installiert werden? Jetzt werden Sie gebeten, einen Ordner für die Installation von RagTime 3.2 anzugeben. Wählen Sie das gewünschte Laufwerk aus. Klicken sie „Erzeugen“, um den neuen Ordner anzulegen. Die Installation von RagTime 3.2 Privat startet automatisch. -2- Installation beginnen Wenn Sie keinen neuen Ordner erzeugt haben, klicken Sie unter „Installieren in“ den Knopf mit dem Namen Ihres gewählten Zielordners. Weitere Externe RagTime-Funktionen installieren Der Leistungsumfang von RagTime läßt sich über Externe Funktionen erweitern. Wir haben für Sie Externe Funktionen für Seriennummernverwaltung, Kalenderberechnungen sowie Verbindungen zu MarcoPolo, FaxSTF und FaxExpress beigelegt. I'm no programmer, nor do I even know much AppleScript. Yet when I dreamed up these AppleScript applications, they were just too good not to share with others. Just leave these two applications on your desktop. Whenever you want to install a new extension or control panel into your System Folder, just drag and drop its icon onto the icon of the appropriate installer. The app will automatically move (or copy) the extension or control panel to the right folder; then it will automatically restart your Mac. Upon restart, the new extension or control panel will be installed! Both of these should work on any Mac that can support both drag-and-drop and AppleScript; that is, almost any Mac running System 7.5 or newer.  Installing Mac OS 8.1 This document describes how to install Mac OS 8.1. It includes compatibility information, instructions for installing Mac OS 8.1, and basic installation troubleshooting. Updating your system using the downloaded Mac OS 8.1 Update image requires that you already have Mac OS 8.0 installed. If you are using the Mac OS 8.1 Reference CD, you may install onto Mac OS system versions 7.5 through 8.1. For more detailed information, see the Mac OS 8 installation manual. WARNING PowerTalk is not compatible with Mac OS 8.1. After you install any version of Mac OS 8, you won’t be able to access your PowerTalk mail or catalogs, nor will you be able to use your keychain or other PowerTalk services. See the Mac OS 8 installation manual for more information. WARNING Application programs that use QuickDraw GX may not be able to print due to changes in the version of QuickDraw GX included with Mac OS 8. See the file About QuickDraw GX for more information. Before you install IMPORTANT In order to install Mac OS 8.1 on PowerPC machines with less than 16 MB of RAM, it will be necessary to reboot with extensions off (by holding the shift key until you see the Welcome to Mac OS message). IMPORTANT If Apple Remote Access 3.0 (ARA 3.0) Personal Server is installed, make sure answering is off before upgrading to System 8.1. To ensure answering is off in ARA 3.0, make sure the answering option is unchecked in the ARA Answering dialog. To get to the dialog, open the Remote Access control panel and select Answering… from the Remote Access menu. After the 8.1 update installation has successfully completed, turn answering back on from the same dialog. NOTE: If you want to create and use a Mac OS Extended format volume, make sure that you read the file “About Mac OS Extended format.” • Turn off any security software that you may have installed on your computer. • Turn off any virus-protection software that you may have installed on your computer. • If you have a PowerBook, make sure that it is plugged into AC power and set not to go to sleep. • If you have AppleShare software earlier than version 3.6.4, you should upgrade to version 3.6.4 or later before installing Mac OS 8.1 over a network. See the document in the AppleShare folder in the Utilities folder for instructions. • When doing a clean install, write down your current Internet settings, such as the IP address, subnet mask, name server, and so on from the TCP/IP, PPP and Modem control panels. After installation, the Internet Setup Assistant will ask you to enter this information.
