 Read Before You Install GarageBand Jam Pack Welcome to GarageBand Jam Pack, a companion to GarageBand, Apple’s music creation application that’s available in the iLife suite. GarageBand Jam Pack provides: • Over 2000 Apple Loops in a variety of instruments and genres • Over 100 additional GarageBand Software Instruments • Over 100 additional audio effects presets • 15 new guitar amp settings System requirements GarageBand Jam Pack requires the GarageBand application installed and Mac OS X version 10.2.6 or later. A Macintosh computer with at least 256 megabytes (MB) of memory and a 600 MHz PowerPC G3 is required to use Apple Loops (a G4 or G5 processor is required for Software Instruments). You need 3 GB of free disk space to install the GarageBand Jam Pack media. Hardware compatibility GarageBand Jam Pack is a companion product to GarageBand, which can operate with any Core Audio- and Core MIDI-compliant audio interface. You may need to install additional drivers from the manufacturer of the audio interface in order to provide full Mac OS X support. For a list of supported audio and MIDI interfaces that work with GarageBand, see the GarageBand website at www.apple.com/ garageband. Installing GarageBand Jam Pack To install the Apple Loops, instruments, and effects available in GarageBand Jam Pack: 1. Insert the Install DVD. 2.  About GarageBand Jam Pack: Voices Welcome to GarageBand Jam Pack: Voices. Voices can be used with any of Apple's music creation applications, including GarageBand, Logic Pro 7, Logic Express 7, and Soundtrack Pro*. Voices includes: • Over 1500 Apple Loops of vocal performances by professional singers and rappers. • Over 20 additional Software Instruments including choirs, soloists, vocal percussion and more. *Soundtrack Pro can make use of the Apple Loops included in Voices , but not the Software Instruments. System requirements To install Voices, you need: • A Macintosh computer with a 600MHz or faster processor. To use Software Instruments, a Macintosh G4 or G5 or Intel Core Processor is strongly recommended. • At lest 512 megabytes (MB) of RAM; 1 gigabyte (GB) recommended. • A DVD-ROM drive. • Mac OS X version 10.3 or later. • QuickTime 6.5.2 or later. • At least 3 gigabytes (GB) of free disk space. Note: Using a guitar, keyboard, or microphone with GarageBand may require a USB or other audio interface. Hardware compatibility Voices is a companion product to GarageBand, which can operate with any Core Audio- and Core MIDI-compliant audio interface. You may need to install additional drivers from the manufacturer of the audio interface in order to provide full Mac OS X support.
