In this game, you will assume the role of a young Pythagoras and try to solve the many puzzles and problems that are a part of his everyday life. Okt 2009 Gameplay In Little Pythagoras, as with other World Builder games, the screen is divided into two windows: The graphics window, and the text window. This is the graphics window. It displays the action of the game from Pythag- oras' perspective, and allows the player to interact graphically with the environment. In the graphics wondow, you can click on most objects to interact with them. You can ppick up objects, gain information about an object, or otherwise manipulate it by simply pointing and clicking on it. This is the text window. All the commands for the game are entered here. Okt 2009 Commands There are a number of text commands that are used to interact with the gaming environment: North moves Pythagoras one scene north. South moves Pythagoras one scene south. East moves Pythagoras one scene east. West moves Pythagoras one scene west. Enter is used to enter a building or other structure. Exit is used to exit a building or other structure. Help will provide a diagram or other assistance for the current puzzle. Some puzzles have no help. There is no penalty for using the help command Inventory allows you to see what items you are currently carrying. Drop followed by the name of an object removes that item from your inventory. Get followed by the name of an object is used to pick up items and add them to your inventory. Status will display Pythagoras' current status. Sometimes the program will ask you to enter the answer to a puzzle. In this case, the program will tell you the format in which you should answer tha puzzle. Locamatic Documentation Locamatic What it does Have you ever wished that your Mac would update its location automatically on the basis of the network that you're using? Perhaps you use your Mac at work, accessing the internet through a proxy server, and at home where you have none. It isn't difficult to select a new location from the Location menu in the Apple menu, but why should you have to? Locamatic will do all this for you! Installing Locamatic Double click on the Locamatic preference pane icon. If this is the first time that you are installing Locamatic, you will be asked whether you’d like to install it for all users or just for the current one. Make your choice, and the System Preferences application will load with Locamatic. If Locamatic is already installed, then reinstalling it will just update the current version. n.b Upgrading Locamatic on Leopard If you are upgrading from Locamatic 2.0.2 or earlier on Leopard, you needed to delete the old Locamatic before installing the new version. You can resolve this by loading the System Preferences application, right clicking on Locamatic and selecting ‘Remove “ L o c a m a t i c ” P r e f e r e n c e P a n e ’ . I f i t d o e s n ’t d i s a p p e a r t h e n d e l e t e com.apple.systempreferences.plist from your ‘home’ preferences (/Users/<username>/ Library/Preferences).
