INSTALLATION UND PROGRAMMSTART ----------------------------------- Ist auf deinem Rechner noch kein "QuickTime™ 2.5" unter "Systemerweiterungen" installiert, so findest du auf der CD-ROM im Ordner "QuickTime™ 2.5" den Installer, der dich nach dem Doppelklick durch die Installation führt. Weiterführende Informationen erhältst du in der Datei "QuickTime™ Read Me". Auf der CD-ROM siehst du einen "PowerMac"- und einen "Standard Mac"-Ordner. In diesen Ordnern befinden sich die Programmicons, über die du die Löwenzahn CD-ROM durch einen Doppelklick startest. Du hast die Wahl zwischen einer 16bit-Version (32768 Farben) und einer 8bit-Version (256 Farben). Start von der Festplatte: Wenn du einen Rechner mit mehr als 8MB RAM besitzt, empfiehlt es sich, den "PowerMac"- oder den "Standard Mac"-Ordner auf die Festplatte zu kopieren und dem Programm mehr Speicher zu zuweisen. Durch Anklicken des Programmicons und Drücken der Tastenkombination " + i" erscheint das Dialogfeld zur Speicherzuteilung. Die Löwenzahn CD-ROM startest du einfach durch Doppelklick auf eines der Progammicons. Start von CD: Du kannst die Löwenzahn CD-ROM auch direkt von der CD aus starten. Ein Doppelklick auf den "PowerMac" oder den "Standard Mac"-Ordner und die Programmicons erscheinen. ------------------------------------- 3. TIPS FÜR EINE OPTIMALE PERFORMANCE ------------------------------------- a) Es empfiehlt sich, keine anderen Programme geöffnet zu haben, und alle Programmfenster zu schließen, bevor du die Löwenzahn CD-ROM startest. Dadurch kann das Programm den maximal verfügbaren Speicher nutzen. b) Antivirus-Programme und Bildschirmschoner sollten deaktiviert werden. c) Dem Programm sollten möglichst 5 MB freier Arbeitsspeicher zur Verfügung stehen. Um den freien Speicher zu prüfen, wählst du im "Finder" im Menü "Apple" den Befehl "Über diesen Macintosh". Die Größe des freien Speichers wird im Feld "Größter freier Block"angezeigt. Hier sollte ein Wert von mindestens 4.096 KB erscheinen. d) Steht deinem System nicht ausreichend Speicher zur Verfügung, kannst du Speicherplatz freigeben, indem du nicht benötigte Systemerweiterungen deaktivierst. e) Unterstützt deine Grafikarte mehr als 256 Farben, aber steht dir nicht genügend Arbeitsspeicher zur Verfügung, so läuft das Programm besser, wenn du eine mit "8bit" benannte Programmversion startest. f) Sollte sich das Programm fehlerhaft verhalten, so kann dies mit einer Inkompatibilität bestimmter Systemerweiterungen oder Kontollfelder zusammenhängen.
