[Quoting Derek French of BioWare:] "No. Our initial goal was to create a cross platform toolset for the gaming community. However, we have encountered difficulty in obtaining a viable cross-platform solution to assist us in porting the Aurora Neverwinter Toolset. As such, BioWare has no plans to create Mac or Linux versions of the Aurora Neverwinter Toolset at this time." There have been third-party efforts to create similar utilities, such as Neveredit. Neither BioWare nor MacSoft can provide support for using third-party utilities. Some users have tried using the PC Toolset on the Mac with VPC, but all report it is not usable this way. 1.02: Is the DM Client included with the Mac version? Yes. The DM Client is based off of the main NWN executable for all platforms, so there is a Mac DM Client. 1.03: Can the Mac version play as a NWN client or as a DM in multiplayer sessions with PC or Linux players?  Update: About Your Computer’s System Software Your computer’s hard disk contains Mac OS 7.6.1, an updated version of system software recently released by Apple Computer. Apple regularly updates the Mac OS to deliver new features and to improve performance and reliability. The new features of Mac OS 7.6.1 make it easier to connect to the Internet, enhance your computer’s multimedia capabilities, and increase your productivity. This document describes some of the most recent advances. It also shows the new look given to some software items that appear in your computer’s user manual. References in the computer’s manual still apply to setup, basic software use, the CD-ROM drive, and other hardware issues. Continue to use that manual when questions come up, when you need troubleshooting tips, or if you ever need to reinstall the computer’s system software. Utility and desktop software m Apple System Profiler, which is available in the Apple (K) menu, provides detailed information about your current hardware and software configuration. m New version of the Extensions Manager control panel: This improved version makes it easier to turn extensions on and off. It also provides detailed information about each software item listed, makes it easier to create sets of extensions, and features a By Package command you can use to group items used by specific software components. 2 Memory m New Memory control panel: The enhanced version of this control panel looks different from the one shown in the computer’s manual. 3 Printing m Desktop printing: When you select a printer in the Chooser, an icon for that printer appears on the desktop. You can quickly print documents from the Finder by dragging a document icon to a desktop printer icon. To check the status of a document that’s waiting to print, double-click the desktop printer icon. m New Printing dialog box: A new LaserWriter driver offers a streamlined interface when you use a LaserWriter printer. If you use a LaserWriter printer and select the LaserWriter 8 driver in the Chooser, you see a revised dialog box when you choose the Print command. STEP 1 (Mac OS Drive Setup): Partition and format your hard drive using the Mac OS Drive Setup Utility. Drive Setup should autostart, if it does not, this utility can be launched from the Apple Menu, and is located in the Applications Folder of this CD. If your hard drive is larger than 190 GB, create multiple partitions with each being 190 GB or smaller. NOTES: Drive Setup will initialize (erase) your hard drive. STEP 2 (Apple Software Restore): Launch the Apple Software Restore application from the Apple Menu and make sure that the "Destination disk" is your newly formatted hard drive or a volume you wish to restore to (This will erase your selected volume). Now click the "Restore" Button and answer any prompts. Once restored, launch the Startup Disk Control Panel, from the Apple Menu, to make sure you when you restart, you boot off your completed install, and not this CD again. Then, restart and enjoy :) Find more in the CD Extras folder on this CD. READ THESE NOTES: The version of Drive Setup used in this is version 1.9.2, an older version of the app from Mac OS 9.0. This is the version you have to use if you want to initialize FireWire disks, the newer versions will not work. Sound only comes out of the headphone jack, at a fixed volume, so you need a volume control on the speaker that the Mac mini is connected to, to control the volume. (You could use an Amp, Digital Keyboard, Radio, HiFi...) If graphics are messed up... If you are using a monitor at 1080p, lower the resolution. Try to avoid using HDMI. If you use a TV as your monitor, use DVI to VGA instead of DVI to HDMI. AirPort and Bluetooth do not currently work. Remember to join our forum and say hello... Mac OS 9 Lives !
