This would be great stuff for the wiki.

lol

Cool coolnessosity !

Thanks for the compliment, CT !

:b&w:

Awesomeness !

Thank you, MacOS !!

I'll add it to the list.

One note guys ... since this forum is so well crawled and catalogued on Google every day, just keep any sites with major company software off of it, like Apple System software, applications, manuals, etc. or from Adobe, Microsoft, etc.

Or else, they might get shut down. Shareware, defunct company products, etc. all seem to do OK in that regard. To include them, a list of available software on such sites should be posted somewhere with a note along the lines of "PM for link". Actually the way to list it would be to keep a running list of all the software available through these links, linkable to the site. The more sensitive stuff would be a PM link to the person who posted it. In other words, a WIKI-like project where we all contribute what we found and where we found it. Over time it would be huge and allow it to be handled in a somewhat discreet manner. To an outsider it simply looks like a list of popular software. At some point I intend to catalogue a list of all of my software online so people can ask for it. But I won't actually post it for general download.

Something like http://68kmla.org/wiki/? I'd love to see articles about software here, categorized by use and applicability, with links to where it could be found.

Okey-doke lol

I'm glad ta be a part of it.

I just added 2 new ones -- have a look !

:b&w:

Oo, this is great for my SE. :D

I've added "MacOrchard"

:b&w:

Technical University of Berlin (the one normally referred to as U of Berlin is Humboldt, the oldest of the few they have) :)

This is a great site. It has more than just Mac stuff, too.. Ta!

Thanks, MacOS ! :beige:

I've added a new source > Fractal Generators

:b&w:

I found another cool one -- it says "JUST ADDED!" next to it.

:b&w:

Indeed - there doesn't seem to be much in the way of system 6 stuff still on the internet. :(

"Vectronic's" is on the list now, too !

:b&w:

I found another one .... lol

"The Mac MotherShip" -- it says "JUST ADDED ! next to it.

:b&w:

I just added "Low End Mac" today > August 2nd, 2008.

This place has all kinds of old computer software for just about any platform. If you can't find what you're looking for anywhere else, It would be a good idea to go here.

Oh yeah, and, just to remind you, the downloads here are SLOOOOOOOOOOW. The download speed is usually 5 KB/s, 2.5 KB/s at the slowest, and 10, occasionally 20 KB/s if you're lucky.

By the way, the maintainer of this server has had no money donated to him in the past few months, so it would be strongly recommended that you do so if you want faster download speeds. :)

OK -- I've added Vintage Computing Files Archive & FreeOnes to the list.

Thanks Bunsen & RMU !

:b&w:

Thank you MacGeek -- I am truly honored.

http://mac.thebasingers.com

My new site, it's in the vein of Macintosh Garden and HOTU... nowhere near as concise and awesome as the latter, but it's a good place to get some classic 68k games and software. Looking for additions too, there will be a forum soon but until then contact me at podphreak@thebasingers.com for anything, or PM me here!
