I have a Mac SE running system 6.0.something -- I'd love to use it with that classic mac digital clock program I saw on here a while ago. I'd have to find it (link would be nice) -- but my main problem is this --
the fan on this thing is loud as hell, which would render it completely useless. Has anyone had a similar experience, and how hard is it to fix the fan, really?
Also -- the only floppy drive I have available to me is an Imation USB "superdrive." Anyone know if it can read/write 800k disks? If so -- where would I find them. Can I format a 1.4mb disk as an 800k?
EDIT - found the clock program http://www.vitaphone.net/hpc/

Run it on a MacPlus.Has anyone had a similar experience, and how hard is it to fix the fan, really?
Are all SE fans loud, then? It sounds like it's rubbing against something. Shouldn't be that hard to fix -- in that case I guess my "real" problem is getting it on there.Run it on a MacPlus.Has anyone had a similar experience, and how hard is it to fix the fan, really?![]()
Can OS 9.1 and 6.0.x jive over localtalk?
Should do if you have the AppleShare and AppleTalk bits on both. Can OS 9.1 and 6.0.x jive over localtalk?
Also, there was a downloadable boot floppy from that site.
Yep -- I'll have to see if I have any 800k disks I can stick in my Duo to transfer it over (forgot about my Duo's floppy drive :Also, there was a downloadable boot floppy from that site.
