Apple Legacy CD - Now available for download!
I don't mess around with that torrent garbage.
Cheers Dog Cow. I've grabbed that and am seeding it now.I don't mess around with that torrent garbage.
But since you guys are squirming, here's some access to it: http://macgui.com/legacy.php
I think, I've downloaded in Windows. But in WinRar, it's corrupted.I don't mess around with that torrent garbage.

I downloaded it on my windows box and WinZip extracted the .dmg no problem. I havent done anything with the .dmg yet however, as I dont have a OS X box, but thats a problem for next week (unless google tells me I can use a .dmg on a 68k Mac running 7.5.3).I think, I've downloaded in Windows. But in WinRar, it's corrupted.
I've finished download the file. But now, where is the software that it's supports converting to .iso?
/Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility.app
Menu Bar >> Image >> Convert >> CD/DVD Master Image
Menu Bar >> Image >> Convert >> CD/DVD Master Image
I'm not using Macintosh, but in Windows./Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility.appMenu Bar >> Image >> Convert >> CD/DVD Master Image
This is great! this should allow me to salvage computers from 3 decades. Unzipped and mounted fine in Leopard.
That doesn't follow. That's what I was referring to.its the specific content that is at issue. But then again, torrenting isn't exactly legal either.
From the locked thread:

You're a little late to the party, aren't you? I've already logged 10 GB of bandwidth. From the locked thread:
Whoopty.
I've downloaded over 10GB today.
Torrents are slow.

For the last two of you still connected to the torrent, it seems I'm the last one left seeding. Why don't people seed for longer? That's the whole point.
I need to open the .dmg file in Windows, but it's says corrupted. The UDIF is not encrypted because I need to mount or convert to .iso the .dmg in Windows. In dmg2img or DMGExtractor it's says bad DMG chunk or corrupted DMG file.
Hello. The moderator (or Administrator) cannot tolerated the torrents now. I am still yellow. Delete the torrent link and then, Lock this topic.
OK... just a quick note: the dmg file doesn't like to open in any of the PC converters. I may upload the .iso version somewhere and post a link to that at some point, if the mods don't mind.
Anyone know of a site where I can upload 650mb files?

Bumpitty bump.
I think after 3 months, if nobody's replied, thats perhaps because there are none.
(that are available for free, anyway)

I'm just bumping this so people will see the link to download it.
...Because it hasn't been on my site for quite awhile. :-/I'm just bumping this so people will see the link to download it.
Has anyone been able to get this thing to boot? :-/
Yep, it works fine for me. I burned the dmg in Disk Utility and booted it on my 5400. I also converted the dmg to iso with dmg2img and booted SheepShaver off it. dmg2iso won't convert it, but dmg2img will.
Hmmm....I downloaded This one and modified it about 20 times, and still no boot. I didn't try the one that macgeek is torrenting - every time I try to download it, there's no connection.Yep, it works fine for me. I burned the dmg in Disk Utility and booted it on my 5400. That one isn't a straight CD copy. You might not be able to get it bootable.
The dmg is a proper bootable image from Apple. If you can't get the torrent I could try and send you the copy I have.Ok. this is extrodinarily odd. I went into the emulator and copied/pasted everything from the CD to a 700mb HFV file and it actually copied with no read errors reported in macos. the CD did get hung up half way in a little bit, but it actually copied without giving an error. while the ISO i copied gave all kinds of errors.
Soo, because of this, i just made it into a bootable HFV file as if it were the CD, so you can just burn a CD from the HFV file or however you do it. im uploading the 700mb HFV to my FTP server in england, and i will send you a link to grab it.
I hopped on the torrent last night. I will try to seed as much as I can but the connection is slow so no miracles.
Sorry to be noobish here, but what does this CD contain? I am at 96% download! Sounds like some good stuff though.
Pretty much every OS prior to 8.5, and then some.Sorry to be noobish here, but what does this CD contain? I am at 96% download! Sounds like some good stuff though.![]()
If anyone wants, i could upload a converted iso of it to the 'net.
Anyone knows how I can burn an HVF cd image? I am using Linux. I do have the option to use a Mac with OS X at school. Would a mac be able to burn HVF cd image? Thanks.
