Please show me where I said that I had a right to be stupid. I said I'm allowed to be stupid, because the act of stupidity isn't banned on this forum.Mike, you don't really have any "right" to be stupid
I don't consider posting here to be a privilege or a right. It's merely a capability. I have no expectation that I will be able to continue to post, or edit posts, or perform any other functions here now or in the future. And being able to post on the forum at all is a privilige, let alone being able to edit posts, and as the people who run the joint, we reserve the right to relieve you of that privilige at any time
By saying you're allowed to be stupid, you're saying you have a right to be stupid, which clearly you don't.Please show me where I said that I had a right to be stupid. Posting here is neither a privilege or a right. It's merely a capability which exists for me. I have no expectation that I will be able to continue to post, or edit posts, or perform any other functions here now or in the future. And being able to post on the forum at all is a privilige, let alone being able to edit posts, and as the people who run the joint, we reserve the right to relieve you of that privilige at any time
And a "capability which exists for you" is by definition a privilige.
I'm allowed to post about Macintosh LC computers in the appropriate subforum. That doesn't mean I have a right to post about Macintosh LC computers in the appropriate subforum.By saying you're allowed to be stupid, you're saying you have a right to be stupid, which clearly you don't.
Breathing is a capability which exists for me, at least until death. Does that make it a privilege? And a "capability which exists for you" is by definition a privilige.
This is where it just gets stupid. Thread closed.
