LineIn or other programs for mac os classic? OS 9 6 posts Jan 20, 2010 — Jan 26, 2010
Are there any other older versions of Linein that support mac os 9 (or older) or other programs that do the same job? I have found only LineIn version 2.03 which is only for mac os X. (LineIn is a simple application for OS X to enable the soft playthru of audio from input devices. In simpler terms, you can use LineIn to play sound coming in through a microphone or any other device plugged in to your Sound In port, just as was once available with OS 9's "Play input through output device" option.)

I believe that Sound Studio has an older version for OS9 (But thats a tad bit overkill)

What system software are you running? Can't you just tick a box in the control panel? Or better yet, wire that Roland up to some powered speakers or your stereo?

i am running mac os 9. I have connected my roland with headphones and i hear the music from the games and the notes when i do a test with OMS (but the intensity of the sound is very small although i turn the roland volume to 100) but i cannot hear a thing with my connection that i describe here : viewtopic.php?f=11&t=11965 (last message)

Someone in another site gave me this answer: "he he, that puzzled me as well. The solution is that Apple doesn't pass through the line-in to the speakers...

You need the program LineIn from http://www.rogueamoeba.com/freebies/ and enable passtrough with that. You need that everytime you need to hear your MT32..."

Have you looked in the Sound control panel?
