DigiDesign PCI interface?
I was wondering if they made a PCI interface for their 888 and compatible equipment and digging through my pile of cards I found this.
It has the HD50 connector on the back and it has a 56K DSP. Slikscreening calls it the "Digidesign MCLC".
Googling only finds a few on ebay but they are equally as clueless as to what it is. Has anyone here seen one of these before and is it what I think it is?

Digidesign's support pages for their older gear are remarkably complete, but I don't know if they are Google-indexed. Try going there directly and conducting a site search. Also, try old Usenet posts (aka Google "Groups")
Yes, they did. IIRC, you needed a different connection cable to use either the Nubus or PCI host card with the same breakout box.I was wondering if they made a PCI interface for their 888
I've been digging through this incredible archive for half a week now and I still can't find anything that references it.
The MC part in MCLC might mean "Mix Core" or "Mix Card" however even going back to ProTools 5 these cards are vastly different beasts that for the most part were slices of a larger brick of cards. All I can say is it does SOMETHING with audio simply because of the presence of the MC56K.

Do they still have images for all their cards & gear? There used to be a great visual reference page with all of them, iirc.
I have not yet found that but I'm seeing depiction of cards in their various manuals.
