Did I just ruin my Power Mac G3 (BW)?
I absent-mindedly removed a stick of RAM and popped in a replacement while the computer was turned off BUT still plugged in to the wall outlet.
Now it doesn't turn on. Removed the ram (while unplugged), still no love.
Did I fry my Mac?

Read this.
The Power Mac G3 (Blue and White, at least) is very sensitive to hardware changes, I've had one refuse to boot after installing a hard drive.

Was that the end of the line for your G3, or did it ever come back to life?
You are my hero. While I thought I had tried resetting the PMU, reading through the precise directions you linked to reminded me to unplug all peripherals! Tried again and it worked. Thank you so much!
No problem, it freaked me out the first time it happened!
