WakeonLan a G5 ?

Hi,

I have a nice imac G5 that i'm trying to wake without success on local network.
I've tried different apps for that , Wakeonlan from readpixel, and WakeOnMac…
Anyone know if there is something specific in G5 Macs power management that prevent it to work ? I know it's different from G3 and G4 , for example a Linux installed on a G5 can't make it sleep cause it uses SMU (System Management Unit)
rather than PMU…
Doesn't WakeOnLan work with SMU ?

That is already checked in pref panel...

I've tried WakeOnLan command line tool , on different ports . still not waking.

It's on… ssh too. That's why i would like to be able to wake it up .

My G5 towers wake up fine. Haven't tried it with my old G5 iMac.

Ok, it now works

Found this :

My model is an iMacG5 (earlier model), so had to follow that guide :

http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT2173

and find the SMU reset button (next to the internal power button), and press it.

Funny stuff.
