Any ADB keyboard should work, though I don't know if any software would actually use the extra keys.
A Mac monitor will not work. The IIgs drives the monitor at NTSC frequencies, so it has more in common with the Amiga in that respect.

None that I'm aware of... also any ADB peripheral (trackballs etc) that needs a driver probably won't work.
The good news is that the IIgs has a composite video port, so you have easy alternatives. Mind you, GS/OS is barely tolerable without the crispness of the IIgs monitor. On second thought, GS/OS is barely tolerable, period!
I used to have a 7 or 8 MHz TWGS, and GS/OS was quite nice, thank-you. Without it though, it is not tolerable!
I have wired up a cable for the IIgs to use the RGB on Commodore monitors. It gives a crisp image.

You shouldn't have too much trouble finding one, they're pretty common (even the Woz signature model). The problem is that without extra memory and some kind of mass storage, the IIgs isn't much more than a fast IIc.
Ahm. IIe. It does have those expansion ports after all. Come to think of it, it supports those awfully useful 3.5 inch floppies too.

2 IIe, both early versions (no number pad) and with Duodisks and monitors, one is in original boxes (not sure if original to that machine though).
2 IIc, both complete with the small monochrome monitors.
1 GS Woz edition with 3.5" & 5.25" external FD units.

There weren't any cards that went up to 18 MHz on the market, though people did replace the processor, crystal, and some supporting components to overclock it like mad.
I can hardly walk into my computer room :O

I love this machine! And, I might be getting a IIe sometime soon-ish...
Looks like it matches the Monitor II and the DuoDisk, neither of which are typically platinum...

at the right : the Apple logo
For that matter, there's actually a platinum 3.5" drive on the left for comparison... the IIe is a beige in good condition, not a platinum.

The platinum IIe is actually one of my favorite Apple systems. I currently have 1 IIGS Rom 3 with a 5.25" and 3.5" diskette drives. I'm always on the hunt for a pristine platinum IIe.

I started out, back in 1980 (the dark ages I know) with a (shudder) TRS-80 model I Level II 16k of memory and a tape drive. Quickly moved on to an Apple II+ with 48k, replaced that in 1985 with an Apple //e with 128k. Added an Apple //c with 640k in 1992. Replaced them all, and either sold or gave them away, with an Apple //GS in 1995 with 4mb. Ended up trashing the GS in 2003.
Currently own, through estate auction and Ebay auctions,
Apple //e 128k
Apple //c 128k (needs some work since it currently doesn't run)
Apple //GS, just upgraded to 4mb and thinking about swapping the ROM 1 motherboard for a ROM 3 motherboard.
Of course I've also had several Macs along the way but we won't mention those.
