Main printer in our apartment is a LaserWriter 12/640 PS hooked up via Ethernet to the network. All the Macs use AppleTalk - brilliantly simple. The PCs require this convoluted setup involving the IP address and all of this other nonsense. It's a tank though. My LaserJet 1012 sits in the closet.

Interesting. You actually use Token Ring on a home network? Have you got a System 360 in the spare bedroom?
