Laser Printers: Vintage vs New(er)
Main printer in our apartment is a LaserWriter 12/640 PS hooked up via Ethernet to the network. All the Macs use AppleTalk - brilliantly simple. The PCs require this convoluted setup involving the IP address and all of this other nonsense. It's a tank though. My LaserJet 1012 sits in the closet.
Someday I will find a local LJ3 so I can use my tokenring adapter and print from the TR network
