Who knew Microsoft could be funny?
That one blonde chick in there was quite attractive. i would paint Windows colored Apple logos with her anyday.
Anyone have this in a QT format? I don't do windows...

I have a feeling that MS wouldn't push QuickTime on their own site.
Yeah, but that's a web page for Mac users!
Anyhow, when it comes to unintentional humor, I've been laughing my @ss off at M$ for years!

Jeez... The commercial was funny, but the experience of watching it was not.
Static in the audio, jerking picture, pixelation. A true testament to the quality of Streaming Windows Media. (Not that non-streaming is any better.) This on a T3 with an Athlon 1700! It's not my hardware giving the poor playback!
How is it that the superior choice in video has been overlooked for over a decade now??

Haha, pretty cool video, but god damn do I hate WMP. I can bare the actual file playing player, but the streaming player is horrendous, yech. When will the world learn that Quicktime is the one and only? I mean there is really no need for RealPlayer pr WMP when you have Quicktime.

Does anyone know how to save this off?
The actual video is located at this URL: http://www.microsoft.com/mac/about/...World2_300k.wvx
(And one can play it in a bigger window by going directly there.)
Yet ... I still am unable to save it off ... (Does this format even allow this?)

That was good. As for Windows Streaming Media on a PC it looks really good. As for streaming Windows still kicks Quicktimes ass.

I was thinking the same.
Ending with M$ taking a bite out of Apple... Hmmm...
I also don't like the "Mac people are hippies"... Please...
Anyway, I can't stand WiMP... every time a "friend" sends me a little footage using it, I get sick... <JOKE> I wonder why they don't try to make a VERY good version for OSX so some people would start using it </JOKE>

I really hope they don't unleash that dung on us ....
the cool thing about the movie: it's available in quicktime from microsoft's server and it's really really funny! bill is so nerdy...
the bad thing: they screwed up badly with the compression. obviously done with the standard edition of sorenson 3 and no sound compression at all. if they would've taken the qdesign codec the movie could be four times smaller. or better yet: the aac codec from quicktime 6. now that would be a bitter sweet irony...ts ts...
but hey, it's microsoft

We can only pray that he is.
Real Player = Bane of my existence
Yech. Another stereotype of Mac users to be hippies.
I guess the good thing about it is that it's made by MS, so that when someone inevitably asks me about it, I can say: what do you expect? It's made by MS. They're idiots.
In general, I hate ass-kissing. However, MS insults you even when they're kissing your ass. Great...
