Hi
I asked here on the forums if there were going to be any major changes, and I was told that there aren't. That might not be correct though, I don't know.
But if there are any changes I will simply have to update my themes to work with 10.2.4.

You're going to 'go for' bubbles even though they look like a bad tiling mistake, distract from the smoothness, and make lines near the ends of the scrollbar that really are a mistake because you'd have to redo 16 variations to get rid of them? Wow.... the hardest working man in the theming biz grows weary! :-]
BTW you do know that those lines near the ends of the bars can be eliminated by carefully matching each one of the 16 little endcaps to a different position relative to the tiled fill. That's why there are all those little endcaps. Apple wanted those little bubbles so badly that they made the scrollbars the most complex part of the whole gui.... if not for them OSX probably never would have had that slow scrolling problem in the first place.
This is going to be a great theme. I like aqua variations because that is how the system is suppsed to look . . . I mean, using BBX in something like OmniWeb looks dumb because the icons are all based to complement the aqua scheme.
I also like the bubbles. they add a nice effect. Without them, it looks too basic and barren.

Well, 10.2.4 is just around the corner, so we'll wait and see.
Look forward to the new SmoothStripes - it makes life in OS X bearable.

I had already started making scrollbars with bubbles, when it struck me to make this poll. So I just continued the work.
I have actually matched all those 16 states of the scroll ends, but even Apples scroll still get a deviding line sometimes because the caps are used differently in different apps.. So it's in fact impossible to make scroll bars with bubbles that look perfect. But I have tried making them look as good as possible.

I don't like "themes" that change one thing about Aqua, but Smoothstripes has become much more. It's basically a complete Jaguar look without any stripes. I agree that it's nice to have a consistent look, which you get with aqua variations.
Besides the theme itself, I have teamed up with Rene from happicon and we have made a makeover kit for iTunes and QuickTime that will update their interface to look much better..

You can always hack OmniWeb's interfase. But really BBX seems to blend into most apps really well.
I like it how there is no 'pressed state'.
All you a doing is dragging it. Not 'selecting' it. You are 'pulling' it down with your mouse. It makes sense that way.
I prefer no bubbles, it is so 10.1 aquaish
. Jaguar should of had newer scrolls.
