Can this possibly be true?
I don't agree with his approach.. but ok.
Sounds about right - what is the technical name for this? Blackmail? No - must be something else. Certainly unethical but then whoever said 'the church' is ethical.
Im pretty religious, and I think that guy is an idiot.
I mean give me a break...

ditto. If that's the best verse he can come up with, I question his knowledge of the subject anyway.

''They do appear physically and spiritually cleansed,'' Llano said.
I bet they do.
Another example of why religion is totally useless.
Even Pope John Paul II is against Baptism in this manner... and the Roman Cathoic Church has hostorically been a big recruiter.
Someone should not be baptized by blackmail, or without maternal/paternal consent.
Old story: John Paul refused to baptize a child when he was a priest because he learned the child was Jewish, and was raised by Catholics during WWII, since it wasn't the parents wishes, he wouldn't do it.
Offering is one thing... blackmail is wrong.

I wonder if anyone peed in the pastor's pool...
''You have to be aggressive to help people find themselves in God,'' he said.
This guy is being a tool. I hope someone has put an administrative finger on him in the past few days.

Wow, a bad group, and all of a sudden ALL religious groups are useless.
I can't believe that anyone would be such an a**hole, and I can't believe that the Army would allow it.
I can only assume that chaplains are given an allotment of water and this guy is using his allotment as bait.
I keep trying to consider his point of view but every time I do I get angrier. I hope this is a misreported story.
