GameCube color poll
I turned My DreamCast Aqua Blue:

I was outraged to find no "Black, with A White Stripe - Badger-Style" optin in the poll.

You could have saved yourself plenty of time if you imported a translucent blue Dreamcast from Japan.

50% marketshare in the past month. The 'Cube is way behind in overall sales.
And considering that it only sold 80,000 units in the past quarter and temporarily halted production, I wouldn't say that people are still buying GameCubes.
But that's another topic.

One word: ego. They can't do it. They know their hardware isn't selling and that it can't compete against even the PS2 which is technologically WORSE than the GC (sans the HD for FF XI), but they continue to try and dominate the console market which will never happen.
And now...there's competition from Sony and Nokia for the handheld market. The big N has to be getting nervous.

Not really - It took about 5 mins to replace the shell (which I needed to open up anyway to install the mod chip.)
Also - In the UK importing Consoles from Japan cost a *lot* more than buying UK consoles. And they don't arrive overnight!

I don't they have to worry about Nokia in the handheld arena considering that you have to take apart an N-Gage and remove the battery before switching games.

| For starters, the process to remove and change games is simply bad. Sure, it only takes 15 to 30 seconds to remove the back cover, take the battery out, slide the old game out, and slap the new one in once you're used to doing it. But then you have to take into account the fact that the system takes another 30 seconds to start up, and once it's finally all up and running, you have to go into the system's main menu, scroll down to the game's icon, and hit a button to start the actual game. And from there you have to take into account the fact that each game has a bit of loading time. I can just about look past the fact that you have to fieldstrip the N-Gage to change games, but for something that's being billed as the "Nokia N-Gage Game Deck," why isn't there a button right on the face of the unit that launches whatever game is inserted into the card slot? Furthermore, how did someone forget to include this, yet somehow a button for the unit's FM radio is right there alongside a button to launch the unit's audio player? |

The PSP, however, should be a major threat to the Game Boy empire.
But you're getting this thread off topic.

But you didn't get the manly Hello Kitty! images, matching controller, keyboard, and memory card by going that route.
And you would have been better off with a boot disc than a mod chip. None of that annoying voided warranty thing.
Hello Kitty! translucent blue Dreamcast = kewl
Custom translucent blue Dreamcast case = teh s uck
Some things are worth the extra money. A Hello Kitty! Dreamcast is one of them.

Personally, I think you're right BUT I saw a review of it on TechTV last night and they made a good point - going through all that trouble deterrs people from ripping off the game.
I don't think an issue like that would be a deciding factor if the thing kicks ass. Bluetooth head-to-head play is a SERIOUS advantage.

Well, you know what? You suck!
And so does everyone with a Jet GameCube!

Interesting. I never liked the Q's design, but apparently I'm in the minority on that one.
But whatever happened to the person who designed the Sakura Wars Dreamcast?

And how could I have forgotten about the "Sakura" PS2?

Why the hell did you bump this thread?
I'll take my Translucent Green, Special Edition Halo XBOX over any of your GameCubes.
