The title says it all.

It's in the garage for now as I am redoing our laundry room and it will go in there when I am done.

That's a 20# CO2 tank for carbonating and serving the brew.

I have a homemade Root Beer and a Raspberry Wheat Ale in there right now. I brewed a simple Amber Ale this afternoon to put in there when the Wheat beer is gone soon.

Isn't having the Slim Fast in there a little contradictive?

damn. homemade root beer? i bet thats killer.

I knew someone would ask me about it!

I actually like the taste of that flavor of Slim Fast and drink it for pleasure. It mixes great with Vodka or even Kaluha.

Try it, you'll like it!

I use Gnome extracts to make the root beer. It's always compared to A&W. Everyone loves it. It got to the point where all the other soda pop in the house wouldn't get consumed, so we don't guy it anymore except for mixed drinks.
compared to A&W is a good thing (assuming of course that were talking about the on tap kind at the restaurants and not the horrid crap in bottles from the grocer).

alright. go ahead and tell me. whats a gnome extract?
I saw that keg system in Fry's Electronics.
KEGERATOR!!!

Yes, I am talking about the Keg version at the restaurants.

Gnome extract is a concentrated root beer extract. Buy it here.

Nope. I bought the Fridge from Bestbuy.com, the CO2 tank from Yedder's (a local CO2 supply co.), the kegs from http://thingsbeer.com/ , the regulator and tap tower from http://www.northernbrewer.com/

The regulator inside the fridge I made from plumbing parts from a local hardware store.

Total, I have about $400 US invested.

I have read of a couple of colleges having homebrew clubs. All you need to do is start a student group and the university will probably give you money for equipment. The one I read about had the school sponsor trips to tour breweries.

Now that, is an education.
my buddy down stairs recently got the home brew buzz *no pun intended* and he has been making it left and right, he one batch ready one about a week into it and 2 more planed with in the month. So it looks like i don't need the keg system. I guess he likes to clean bottles.
looks sweet...raspberry wheat ale..yummy
