Symbolics Macivory Quadra 650? — #3

It's a neat system, and I always loved Symbolics hardware. But that is a ridiculous asking price. They're not THAT rare (though I'd sure like to have one).

512ke rare? — #2

My guess would be that it's lack of rarity is why it's not appearing. People are more likely to sell a "rare" 128K than they are a less-rare model. Someone with a 128K is probabl…

512ke rare? — #1

Has anyone noticed how few 512ke's have been on ebay lately? There's been more 1984 Macintosh 128k's than 512ke's and there's been plenty of 512k's.

Static pips — #5

Remove the back housing, keep your eye the analog board in a dimly lit room, and flip the power switch. For truly, if you hear a "static" kind of sound, then you will likely see a…

Symbolics Macivory Quadra 650? — #2

It's a system with a true LISP coprocessor on NuBus cards. Incidentally, it can use a NuVista video card which is what the Avid system uses. http://fare.tunes.org/LispM.html

I'm pretty sure the 18-disc model just used three six-disc caddies. On another note: my parents still use a home CD player from Pioneer that uses this same caddy. Probably bought…
