7100 vs 6100 — #12

Great tips, Bunsen! Have you done an in-depth study of where hot air stagnates inside the case? I've always loved the 6100. It's a great little machine, but the 30/33MHz bus is …

2X Mac IIcis and A bunch of other stuff. — #25

No, it's just your VGA monitor's problem. and tbh, I have never seen a 30-pin one strangely. xD and the radius card will prob. work with an LCD w/adapter fine.

LC475 3rd socket? — #2

2X Mac IIcis and A bunch of other stuff. — #23

The IIci is rather picky about the monitors which it can provide video output to. Only ones that support sync-on-green are OK. Try an Apple Color Plus '14, which is on sale at her…

LC475 3rd socket? — #1

I got an LC475 with a 3rd socket beside the two VRam slots. It´s a little bit smaller than the two VRams, and I have no idea what this could be. At this pictures (nr. 4 + 5) you s…

Thanks for all the valuable info. Does anyone have a take apart guide? One of the HD/FD caddies on the one with the Radius card, is popping out, thus won't let me shut the top. Bot…

Ubuntu Feisty Fawn? Hack-a-Mac w/X86 or GX? — #2

"Feisty Fawn" just means it's the sixth major release of Ubuntu (A,B,C,D,E,F). Nothing to do with whether it's PPC or not. I think they're up to G or H by now. There are "unoffi…
