my SD500 has that whininess to it as well. Oh well, it's a still camera after all.

it is a common problem with all the SD500s. my SD300 does not have that problem.

It is really awful audio recording quality... I would not recommend this camera just for that... I have went back to using my Canon S230 which has the lower frame rate per second …

I've read that this is reported with a few users of the camera. Maybe they downgraded component-wise for audio recording to make room for better picture ability. ? hmm.

Control a to beginning of line, control e to end of line also works for a few apps.. command + backspace will trash things, command shift backspace will empty trash.
