It's absolutely disgusting. Aestheticallly. I'm sure it's quite a nice car, though.
What do you people think about the Mgane ?

Oof. I didn't mind it until I saw it from the back (which is true of so many things).

I have never met a *single* person here who didn't think it utterly repulsive.
Though having a "decent built-in stereo" is certainly a redeeming quality - though that assumes you're inside one and don't have to stand looking at its repugnant exterior.

I don't mind the PT Cruiser. It's a little funny looking, but not necessarily in a bad way.
I quite like it.
In the UK, they advertised the Megane with Groove Armada's 'Shakin that Ass'.
I like good-looking cars, so I ordered my new one of these on Friday.

The car, or the sentiment?
The Mgane has a nice ass.
It's a pretty cool car, something that is very hard to achieve in that sector of the market.

I still woudn't buy it, though
That PS job of the 3 door is nice with the curved roof, good one waxcrash!
But yeah, the 3 door's square roof/curved window thing just looks wrong. Powaqquatsi, if you're getting a Megane, get a 5 Door or one of these:

Ah, Renault, those nice keyless cars that speak to you. I have two.
- Laguna Grand Tour (Estate in some European markets) 2.2 dCi Privilege
- Clio II v6 (2003 model, 260 CV)
And remember, F. Alonso chose the Mgane 3 door as personal car, you can not go wrong !

Well, the convertible looks very nice, but it's out of my budget and it's is very heavy and slow. But nice looks. And I personally like the look of the 3-door more and I only need 2 doors

The V6 =
I'd love the have one of those, superfun. Except for the fact that they aren't too practical. How do you like your Laguna ? This is one I'm interested in too, second hand tough.
What car do you drive right now?
A Picture + engine specs + extra's worth mentioning
I am not interested in what kind of car you want to drive, or what kind of car you are saving money for. Just post a pic or a pic of how it looks like so we get a rough idea.

Peugeot 405 mi16 (1993)
160 bhp / 2.0 16v dohc
i drove 225 km/h on the Belgian highway last tuesday. I think it peaks at 230 which is more than factory specs claim

Well, I love the Laguna Grand Tour, that is, I could choose between Laguna and Laguna Grand Tour, but I really like the Grand Tour more, (I like family cars, just check my signature), but the Laguna has a very nice sporty look. Mine is the Privilege version, that is plenty of Renault 'gadgets', the best premium Renault keyless system, you know, car open by itself when you put your hand into the doors handle, then you press start engine button and done. When you go away from car, it closes by itself, you need to do none. I love the computer voice system, any problem, it will really "tell" you. The equipment level is very nice from xenon lights, leather seats, to every security system (electronic rules) you can think of (e.g. the Renault head rest, same the MB S-Class had). The computer display is also funny with color variations according to the circunstances of the problem. The engine is superb, dCi 150 cv of sileeeence with six gears.
But the real difference between the Laguna and the Mgane is size of the car. You will notice this while driving. The Mgane size is perfect for a begginer driver. And if you can get it with the luxury pack, that will be awesome!!. Well, I think I preffer the five doors version, but just tastes

Hope you will pass your driving exam and get a nice Renault
Remember to drive carefully !
BTW, aimed to American people here in the forums, know that Renault is one of bigger Apple customers here in Europe, if not the biggest. They, Renault, use Mac OS in their garages (dealers) here. Easier to say, there were Renault dudes at Apple Expo Conferences talking about Open Source.
Amazing. A car thread that doesn't dissolve into Ca$h against the rest of the world - is he off sick or something?
Back on topic: Personally I love the Megane, but appreciate that it's most definitely not everyone's cup of tea.

Yep, my dad has al those gadgets on his Vel Satis, pretty cool (he has the same engine as your Laguna). I think I'm going for the Megane Dynamique Luxe, the one with the chrome
