RTFA

Despite up to 150 people simultaneously bagging free copies of its most valuable property at any given time 24 hours a day, Lions Gate says it has no plans to oppose the practice.
I feel sorry for Michael Moore. I pray that God will not continue to harden his heart. Although I realize that he has a purpose for him.

I am sure Moore feels sorry for you too.
I doubt that, when his purpose is to end my way of life. The America that I was privileged to grow up in and fight for.

I do not hate him, that would be wrong. My purpose is to pray for him, that God will turn what he does into good so that God's purpose may win.

And what he's doing isn't good? Why not pray to your god for Bush since he claims his policies are faith based?

I can respect such a viewpoint however, Moore is just one of many who strongly disagree with Bush's policy. A strong opposing voice is not a bad thing for America. He raises important questions for people to think about, whether you agree with him or not.
God damn there are some crazy people at this forum.

Thank you lil'babykitten.

Yes, we do need opposing views. Though it should be views with facts and not bias.

Axo1ot1, I consider your comment to be a little offensive. No one that knows me considers me to be crazy.

Indeed, but he's not competing on a level playing field of facts and no bias/lies

If it starts to affect their sales they will try to stop it.
Run for your lives! Your way of life is threatened! We might never see those glory days of social repression, racism and fanatic religious beliefs that we called the 50s again! Help!

There apparently is some remarkable standard these days where the president (of either party) doesn't need to be unbiased or base arguments on facts, yet his critics must.
Disney-chosen charities are getting screwed more than anyone....they get 60% of net per an agreement Disney and the Weinsteins made when they negotiated letting the film be distributed by someone other than Miramax.

The Weinsteins are in for the other 40% (Moore is paid out of gross), but the movie's already done much better than anyone expected, so maybe the publicity is worth it...everyone's probably made as much as they were expecting to. Besides, the movie is there to push a certain political view, not necessarily to make money.

Like all the "facts" that President Bush has given us? He had no bias trying to convince the world that we needed to invade a sovereign nation?
edit: Whoops.. Didn't see itai195's post..
Wow... WDlove is being flamed... never thought I'd see this day.

He's like the nicest poster here and you guys are ragging on him. Turns out no matter how kind you are to people, they care about their opinions and stances more than you.

Losers.
He's not being flamed. He posted a point of view that we disagree with. I didn't say anything personal about him, he comes across as an incredibly nice guy and I've in fact defended him from being flamed previously even when I disagreed with his opinion.

Thread derailed. Time for it to be moved to the Politics/War Lounge. I think Religion should be added to that, actually.

What is God's purpose? For you to makealottamoney by exploiting all the poor people?
Is it me, or is Michael Moore getting fat?

It definitely isn't you... I saw a clip from Roger & Me and the interviews he has been doing of late... whoa man, you're letting yourself go.

I hope his next movie attacks the Carb Craze.
