Which was more painful, the burn or the hangover? I've had both, but never from the same evening.
I still have a three-inch scar on my upper arm from shrapnel received from a homemade roman candle launcher, back when I was about 15. That was not one of the smarter things I did during my youth. 
Ouch. I'd say I liked the hangover less, but I'm fine now.
Ah, the years of homemade fireworks. My friends and I did made plenty of custom fireworks when we were around that age, too. Roman candle dissection, custom bottle rockets, modified whistling dixies.... Those were the days.
