I'm tempted to believe them (as they are the best for rumours), but this seems a little soon.

Also, Apple have been known to delay announcements when leaks like this occur that appear so certain.

I guess the 60GB model will be $499 with 40GB being lowered to $449. Dunno for sure, but that looks like what they are referring to.

My library has grown to a respectable 68GB. Are 80GB iPods too much to ask for? (of course it is )

If this is true, it really is kind of a slap in the face to Macworld Boston (or whatever they call it now). Jobs releases new monitors and demos Tiger a week or so before, then a week or so after he releases new iPods.

68GB GOOD LORD! are those all ripped from cds or downloaded?

i think i have about 4gb...most i dont even listen to.

I got pushed into the pool with my original 5 gig ipod in my pocket, a couple weeks ago. My brother in law felt bad and promised to replace it. I wanted to wait for a new release, but he felt so bad he went out and got me one last week.

I've got a 10gb with the touch scrollwheel and the 4 buttons around the wheel and I have an iPod mini with the controls on the wheel itself.

Is it just me or what, but I like the original setup with the 4 buttons on the circumference of the wheel much better than than what's pictured on this next gen iPod. (although the mini interface is a lot better than the buttons above the wheel)

I agree. The original iPod had the best button setup. And i prefer mechanical scroll wheel over the touch wheel too.

I have 102GB at this point, all downloaded, and that's just the stuff that's been archived.
