Sight Patch 1.1.1 is a small Marathon utility by Stefan Joos (sjoos@ifi.unizh.ch) that tweaks the host game's targeting behavior for the original Bungie Marathon on classic Mac OS. It lives alongside the Marathon community's other Info-Mac uploads under info-mac/game/com/mthn/ and is delivered as a BinHex-encoded application.
What it patches
The tool modifies Marathon's compiled application file in place, applying a focused change that affects how the player's weapon sights and aim feedback resolve in-game. It does not touch maps, physics, or shapes data.
How you use it
Run the patcher once against a copy of your Marathon application — never the original — and launch the patched copy as you normally would. Reverting is a matter of keeping the unpatched binary on hand.
Compatibility
Built for the classic Mac OS releases of the first Marathon. Like other binary patchers of the era, it is sensitive to the exact version of the Marathon application; mismatched versions will refuse to apply cleanly.
Author and distribution
Released as freeware by Stefan Joos at the Universitat Zurich Informatik department, mirrored on Info-Mac as sight-patch-111.hqx with a short BinHex header noting the title and author.
