Laz is a compilation distribution of The Scenarios of Laz, packaging nine Wolfenstein 3D Mac scenarios authored by Laz Rojas into a single download. It is not standalone software: every scenario in the bundle requires the full retail version of the Mac port of Wolfenstein 3D to load.
What is included
The archive collects nine Rojas scenarios: Arena of Death, Auf Wiedersehen, Adolf!, B.J's Revenge, Halten Sie!, Laz's 2nd Encounter, Mutants' Lair, Operation-Annihilate!, The Haunted Castle, and Treasure Hunt Deluxe. Each is a custom map set rather than a stand-alone game.
Author and curator
The scenarios themselves are by Laz Rojas, who is better known in the DOOM modding community but also produced an unusually high volume of well-regarded maps for the Macintosh port of Wolfenstein 3D, some of which were originally released as shareware before being made freeware. This compilation was assembled and distributed by Josh Mills ("copperfield") as a convenience package.
Distribution
The package was hosted on Geocities (Mills's TelevisionCity/1568/wolf.html page and Rojas's own TimesSquare/3744 page) and mirrored to Info-Mac under game/com/wolf/laz.hqx. Macintosh Garden carries the same bundle today as Laz Rojas' Wolfenstein 3D Scenarios.
